- giving people skills and confidence to be able to apply for jobs in the NHS and social care
- upskilling the health and social care workforce
These bootcamps have been offered to staff across the health and care system, including care home staff.
The aim is to upskill our health and care workforce in order that attendees are able to either step into a job in the sector, or able to seek promotion/digital champion role, during April-September 2021.
These opportunities are available for adults aged 19+ who are resident in Devon, Somerset, Dorset or Cornwall.
The Skills Bootcamps offer free, industry designed training courses to help people build specific sector skills. Employers can use the training courses to upskill their employees*, self employed can build skills to grow opportunities for their business and unemployed or independent learners can re-train and gain skills to move into job roles which are very much in demand.
*Employers contribution of 30% of course cost
Please see below flyer for further information on the South West Digital Skills Bootcamps to be run between October 2021 – February 2022
Recognising both the essential need for this initiative and the current COVID pressures on our system, we are seeking extension of these schemes to run further bootcamps. Promotion has been through digital, workforce and communications teams. There are also likely to be 2022 Bootcamps linking with other large organisations in the South West.
