Alison Henly – Chief Finance Officer and Director of Performance and Contracting

Alison Henly is the Chief Finance Officer and Director of Performance and Contracting at NHS Somerset.

Alison has been a Finance Director/Chief Finance Officer since 2016. 

She has over 30 years’ experience in the NHS in both provider and commissioner organisations. 

Her broad breath of knowledge not only covers finance but other key areas, having been involved in strategy development and implementation and with direct operational responsibility for financial management, costing and pricing, contract negotiation, contract management and business case preparation.

Alison constantly strives for quality improvements through transformation and efficiency. She is passionate about ensuring that continual improvements within health and care are done collaboratively and for the benefit of the people of Somerset.
