Quality Assurance and Improvement Framework 2025-2027
Our Quality Assurance and Improvement Framework 2025-2027 has been published.
This document describes the framework Somerset ICB will adopt to deliver on our statutory duty for quality. It sets out our vision for quality, the application of the National Quality Board guidance, our governance arrangements and our quality priorities.
Its purpose is to:
- reiterate the Integrated Care Board and the wider Integrated Care System’s vision of supplying high quality and efficient health and care to the population of Somerset, and to explain what we mean when we say this.
- establish a structured system for the Integrated Care Board to consistently monitor and evaluate the quality of services, systems and processes – in line with national guidance – to ensure that the health and care being delivered is safe, effective and equitable.
- enable us to consistently and proactively identify and address potential issues, concerns and risks, and escalate these where required.
- highlight areas of local focus for improvement, to ensure we are meeting nationally set quality functions.
- act as a roadmap for maintaining and continuously improving the quality of services across Somerset.
