Contacting healthcare services:
Do not visit unannounced: Avoid going directly to your GP, walk-in centre, or hospital.
Call ahead: Contact your GP or NHS 111 to report symptoms and get advice.
If you need to visit in person inform reception on arrival. Let staff know you suspect measles so they can take precautions to minimise risk to others
If you are unsure whether you or your child are vaccinated against measles, check your NHS Red Book (Personal Child Health Record), the NHS app or contact your GP to confirm your immunisation status. Vaccination is the most effective way to protect against measles.
