Welcome to NHS Somerset

Where can I get support with my health this winter?

Services available week starting 14th of January 2025

NHS services in Somerset are very busy during this time of year.

If you require urgent care, please call 111 or go online for an assessment. This helps us to provide the right support/treatment as quickly as possible, and could save you an unnecessary journey.

Your local community pharmacies are open for face to face advice on minor injuries and illnesses. Find an open pharmacy near you

If you have a non-life threatening injury or illness and need local care with shorter waiting times and free parking, you can get help at your nearest urgent treatment centre.

There are Urgent Treatment Centres in community hospitals based at:

  • Frome
  • Glastonbury
  • Shepton Mallet
  • Chard
  • Bridgwater
  • Minehead

Burnham-on-Sea has a Minor Injury Unit. Click here for more details.
