Non Medical Prescribers

Non-Medical Prescribers (NMPs) must be registered against the appropriate practice or organisation to ensure prescribing activity is attributed to the correct cost centre.

We have introduced a new online process for submitting Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) registration requests across NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW), NHS Dorset and NHS Somerset ICBs.

Use the form below to:

• Register a new Non-Medical Prescriber.
• Notify us of a prescriber leaving a practice or organisation.
• Update details for an existing Non-Medical Prescriber.

Submit a Request

Complete the online NMP registration form

Once submitted, the request will be checked and processed and email confirmation sent to the practice.

Following submission to the NHS Business Services Authority (NHSBSA), registration updates are typically processed within approximately five working days.

Important Information

• This process is for Non-Medical Prescribers only.
• Requests submitted by email will no longer be processed.
• Medical prescriber (GP) registration changes should continue to be managed through existing GP registration processes.
